Welcome to Griffin Elementary School
Welcome to Griffin Elementary School. Our school is a neighborhood school in the heart of Grand Haven.
We are a family-oriented community that serves approximately 400 children from preschool to 5th grade. Our school prides itself in providing a rich learning environment that is characterized by safety, warmth, dedication and high academic standards.
We are proud of our many accomplishments and would be happy to have you come and visit.

PTA Family Dinner and a Movie Night-Friday, January 20th @ 6:30pm
Our PTA is sponsoring a Dinner and a Movie night this Friday, January 20 at 6:30pm. Students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for this event. They will be showing "Rio" and pizza will be available by the slice for $1.00, a can of pop is $1.00, a bottle of water is .50 cents and a cookie is .50 cents.
Bring your sleeping bag; bring your pillow; bring a bean bag; wear your pjs! Join us in the gym for this fun family event.

4th Grade Field Trip to Lansing on Thursday, January 12 has been CANCELED
Due to the possibility of inclement weather tomorrow afternoon, it has been decided to cancel our field trip to Lansing. We are currently on a waiting list to reschedule this trip, watch for details to come home at a later date. Students should report to school as normal.If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the office at 850-5500. -

Thank You to ExxonMobil-West Olive Ez Mart
A special thank you to ExxonMobil -West Olive Ez Mart for awarding Griffin School a $500.00 Educational Alliance grant. Representatives from Blarney Castle Oil Co and West Olive Ez Mart presented Griffin School with a $500.00 check that will be used to continue to promote health and fitness at Griffin School including our on-going Mileage Club.

Santa Celebration - Friday, December 9th @ 6:30pm
Just a reminder that Santa is stopping at Griffin School on Friday, December 9th from 6:30pm-8:00pm and he has invited everyone to join him for an evening of dancing, pictures and card making. Please bring your own camera for a picture with Santa in the Media Center. We'll be having dancing, holiday treats and card making in the gym.
